One-on-One Tutoring in Your Home

Who We Are

Home Tutoring Solutions is a one-on-one, in-home tutoring service.  We help students with their learning needs in Northeast Ohio (Cleveland, Akron, Elyria, Warren, Painesville, Mentor, and surrounding areas).  Tutors are available to help students of all ages from Kindergarten through 12th grade, as well as college and adult students.

We also offer test preparation programs for the OAA and OGT achievement tests, the PSAT/SAT and ACT college entrance exams, the ISEE/SSAT private school entrance exams, and the GRE/MCAT/LSAT graduate degree entrance exams.

Our tutors will come to your home, or meet the student at a nearby public library or other public location.

What We Do For Your Student

We help students gain confidence in their own ability to learn.  We help students learn better study and organizational skills.  We help motivate students to do their best.  We help today's busy students that are also athletes, artists, performers, dancers, and students with jobs.  We fit one-on-one tutoring into their busy schedules.  We give you and your student peace of mind that they will do their best in their classes, on their college entrance tests, or whatever learning challenges they are currently facing.

Our Philosophy

Because each student learns differently, we believe that one-on-one instruction is the most effective way for the tutor to get to know the student's goals, learning style, and any gaps in learning.  The tutor can then work with the student at his or her pace in ways that the student can make progress towards his or her goals, thus building the student's self confidence and self esteem.

Our goal is to help each student reach their full potential in learning, and to gain the confidence to continue on their own without the help of a tutor.  In the case of enrichment tutoring, we strive to enhance the student's learning experience so that they are challenged and reach new heights in their learning experience.

Does My Student Need Tutoring?

If your student is struggling with completing homework or scoring low on tests and assignments, getting them help early will get them back on track before they lose their confidence and get discouraged.  Since learning is a building process, it becomes harder and harder for a student to progress to higher grade levels and subjects if they have not mastered the lower levels.  An investment in extra help early in their schooling will help them be more successful in their later years.  If you think your student may need extra help, talk to your student about how they feel they are doing, and talk to the teachers and other professionals at the school.  A small amount of help when a problem first develops may minimize the need for more help later.  Feel free to call us with questions or concerns.
